St. Frances Cabrini Youth Ministry is a comprehensive approach to parish youth ministry for 6th to 12th grade youth. This approach creates a framework for our community to respond to the personal and spiritual needs of our young people, while encouraging them to share their unique gifts with the larger St. Frances Cabrini faith community.

St. Frances Cabrini Youth Ministry integrates six key components:
  1. CATECHESIS - Each junior high grade level is offered a series of mini courses for a systematic study of major themes of our faith. Nine to 12th grades are offered a lectionary-based catechesis that facilitates a richer, deeper communion with God.
  2. COMMUNITY LIFE - Community life is not only what we do, but also who we are and how we interact. We provide opportunities for our youth to gather as a Catholic community, safe and welcomed by the Holy Spirit and by others. Guiding our youth in developing an appreciation for both the uniqueness of individuals and the support of a community united in faith is essential to a faith that grows deeper and richer from year to year.
  3. EVANGELIZATION - Evangelization is the energizing core of all ministry with adolescents. SFC Youth retreats offer a wide range of experiences of fun, faith, and fellowship. These dynamic, out of the ordinary opportunities afford our youth with an extended period of time to come away from the busyness of life to encounter the Risen Lord. Experiencing the Good News proclaimed in the midst of a community of one's peers produces the fruit of discipleship: changed hearts, renewed minds, and refreshed spirits.
  4. JUSTICE AND SERVICE - Discipleship finds its fulfillment in real life experiences of service to people in need. As Catholic Christians, our mission is to love one another as Christ loves us. Opportunities are provided for our youth to live the mission.
  5. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT - SFC youth have a strong voice in our parish youth ministry. Representatives serve on a Youth Ministry Leadership Team to plan, promote, implement, and evaluate events and activities for 6th to 12th grade youth.
  6. PRAYER AND WORSHIP - Our Catholic faith is rich with various experiences of prayer. SFC Youth Ministry present our youth with experiences of devotional prayer, scripture study, praise and worship, contrition, and adoration.
